2-Nitrobenzaldehyde is an organic synthesis intermediate, and is used in the pharmaceutical industry to manufacture an anti-angina drug nitropyridine (Xintongding); the nitro group is reduced to an amino group to become an aminobenzaldehyde.

Application

This product is a powerful antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory medicine. Its anti-inflammatory effect is 2-2.5 times that of indomethacin and 26-50 times stronger than that of acetylsalicylic acid. It is suitable for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthropathy, pain relief after operation and fever caused by various reasons.

Organic synthetic intermediates used in the pharmaceutical industry to manufacture the anti angina drug nitropyridine (Xintongding). After reducing its nitro group to an amino group, it becomes o-aminobenzaldehyde, which can be used to synthesize quinolin ring drugs.
